XBLIG Twin Blades slightly delayed, no pee in ladies’ washbowl
The game is currently being peer-reviewed, the penultimate state before being released on Xbox Live Indie Games. Unfortunately peer-review isn’t like when all urinals are occupied and you can always pee in the ladies’ washbowl instead: there’s no queue-dodging on XBLIG.
There is no ETA, although it shouldn’t take more than a few days – or maybe even hours. We’re 70% done, it doesn’t mean much as we don’t know exactly how many more reviews the remaining 30% represent (Microsoft likes to keep it a secret, or else people would figure out how the break the mysterious Microsoft Time and that would take away most of the charm of staring at that blue bar’s progress).

Problem is peer-reviews is a volunteer-based system, people do it in their free time and it seems they are currently busy spending their free-time on trivial things such as family gathering and selling unwanted gifts on ebay.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience, we’ve messed up and we’ll whip the coders as a collective punishment – although they’ll probably enjoy it so we’ll also force them to port the game in Java too.

Hurry Up
hurry and i ask you for third time, will this be released worldwide because in mexico we dont have a indie channel, we need this game i already purchase it for the iphone but i want to kill on hd
Ah well, then I will reiterate. The short answer is no, it won’t be available in Mexico.
Twin Blades will only be available through the Xbox Live Indie Games, which is restrained to a handful of countries. Unfortunately we canno’t bypass Microsoft’s rules and we have no mean to distribute the game on other channels at this time. Hopefully MS will make XBLIG available in your country soon, or they might feature Twin Blades on XBLA if its very successful.
Either way its completely out of our hands, so your best bet to kill zombies in HD as soon as the game is released is probably to go north until you are being shot at – at which point you’ll know you’ve hit Texas territory – plug your Xbox online, swiftly download the game on the HD/memory card and dash back home before they get a chance to aim you down their sights.
Find that a bit extreme? Think about the poor guys in Antartica.
XBLIG Twin Blades 2010?
Not being possible to play right now is regrettable.
However, it looks forward to the day’s when it can play coming.
Thank you for teaching the reason not put on the market with XBLIG.
Have A Good Year!
It is out and quite good. I’d only say I would of liked more animations off the bat as I was sort of expecting something combo crazy like The Dishwasher. I will probably end up featuring this game as an Indy Pick, for a podcast I’m featured on, if I don’t find something horribly wrong with it. Here’s hoping you can survive the wrath of angry Xbox 360 owners.
Considering the load of crap, which I have actually sifted through since the service launched, I can safely say Twin Blades will probably rise above the crap heap I see from week to week. I know it’s hard to tell, but I do love the Indy Games and it is always nice to see more quality games ending up on the service. Now, if only the iPhone would just die already we’d get even more serious developers.
Kudos to the development!
